Madegood
Privacy Policy
Effective 24 September 2026 · Loadcircle Ltd
Madegood is a snag list you keep yourself. You walk the job room by room, pin what needs doing on the photograph, and hand over an evidence pack. The job, the snags and the photographs stay on your phone. We do not receive them, and the app has no way to send them.
The short version. Madegood holds no internet permission at all — not a permission we promise not to use, but one the app does not have and cannot hold. There is no account, no sign-in, no sync, no analytics and no advertising. The only part of Madegood that talks to anyone is the payment, and that is Google Play's own, not ours.
1. What the app stores, and where
When you use Madegood, the app writes the following to its own private storage area on your device:
- the jobs you create: the name, the site and the address you type in;
- the rooms in each job;
- the snags in each room: what needs doing, and where on the photograph it is;
- the photographs you add, copied into the app's storage;
- the look you chose, the language you chose, and whether the pack has been unlocked.
This is kept in the app's own private directory, with the photographs beside it. Nothing else on your phone is written to by Madegood, and no other app can read that directory.
2. What the app does not do
- No internet. The app does not hold the
INTERNETpermission, so it cannot open a network connection. Nothing you type or photograph can be transmitted anywhere, because there is no permission for it to travel by. - No account. There is nothing to sign up for, no email address, no password, and no user identifier.
- No analytics or crash reporting. No usage data, no diagnostics and no device identifiers are collected or sent. We have no way to see how you use the app.
- No advertising. There are no ads and no advertising SDK, and the app does not use the advertising ID.
- No third-party services. Madegood includes no third-party SDK that collects data.
- No location. The app does not ask for or use your location, and a snag is not stamped with a place, only with the room you put it in.
- No system backup. Android backup is switched off inside the app, so a backup agent cannot copy your jobs off the device.
3. Photographs
When you add a photograph, Madegood asks the system to open your photo picker or your camera. The app holds no camera permission and no permission to read your photo library: with the system picker it sees only the specific photographs you choose, and with the camera it receives only the one photograph you have just taken. A copy is placed in the app's private storage so the record survives even if you later delete the original from your gallery. That copy is not uploaded anywhere.
Working notes: photographs of a site are usually other people's property, and sometimes other people. What you are entitled to photograph, and who you may show it to, is a matter between you and the people you work for.
4. The pack you hand over
Madegood builds your evidence pack as a PDF on the phone. There are two ways to get it out, and both are yours to choose:
- Save a copy — you choose the destination in your phone's own file saver, for example your Downloads folder or a cloud drive you have set up yourself.
- Send it — you choose the app in the share sheet, for example your email or a messaging app.
Until you do one of those things, the pack has not left the app. Once it has, the file is outside Madegood's control and is held by whatever app or service you chose; that service's own privacy policy applies to it. Anyone you send the pack to can read everything in it, so send it to the people you mean to send it to.
5. Payment
The pack is unlocked by a purchase handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card, your billing address or your name: Google Play processes the payment and tells the app only whether the pack is yours. What Google collects for that purchase is covered by Google's own privacy policy, not this one. Madegood itself sends no payment information anywhere, and holds no internet permission to send it with.
6. Deleting your data
You can delete a snag, a room or a whole job inside the app, and the app deletes its photographs with it. The More screen has an erase that removes everything the app has stored. Clearing the app's data in your phone's settings, or uninstalling Madegood, does the same thing. Because we never receive your jobs, there is nothing on a server for you to ask us to delete — and equally, we cannot recover your list for you if your phone is lost. If a job matters, hand the pack over before the phone goes anywhere.
7. Children
Madegood is a tool for people doing work on a site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children — indeed we collect no information from anyone.
8. Your rights
Data protection law, including the UK GDPR, gives you rights over personal data held about you. We hold none: your jobs never reach us. If you have a question about that, you are welcome to write to the address below. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
9. Changes to this policy
If a future version of Madegood changes what it stores or where it goes, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change. The version of this policy that applies to you is the one published here at the time you use the app.
